WHY UM YEH?

UM YEH didn't start because I wanted to create a clothing brand.

It started because I know what it feels like to believe you're completely alone.

Growing up, I struggled with depression and anxiety. For years, I convinced myself that no one would understand what I was feeling. Looking back, I realize I believed the lie that I had to carry everything by myself.

That lie became so overwhelming that, when I was 12 years old, I attempted to take my own life.

As I got older, I realized I wasn't the only one carrying those thoughts. So many people were smiling on the outside while silently falling apart on the inside. I learned there is incredible power in community, honesty, and simply knowing someone else understands.

That's why I created UM YEH.

Whenever someone asked how I was doing, my answer was almost always the same:

"Um... yeah."

Not because I was okay.

But because I didn't know how to tell people I wasn't.

Those two words became a way to hide what I was really feeling.

Today, UM YEH is about changing that.

It's a reminder that you don't have to pretend you're okay. You don't have to hide behind "I'm fine" or "Um... yeah." You deserve to be heard, supported, and reminded that you're never alone.

Because sometimes the most important conversation you'll ever have begins when you stop saying "Um... yeah."

Our Core Values

Authenticity

We believe healing begins with honesty. Our mission is to encourage real conversations about mental health so no one has to struggle in silence or believe they're alone.

Empathy

We're building a community where no one has to pretend they're okay. A place where people can be honest, support one another, and remember they're never alone.

Resilience

We believe there is strength in being honest. You don't have to have everything figured out to take the first step, and you don't have to take it alone.
